Stitching for the Eudunda Show
It may be cold outside but that is no excuse to sit idle inside. Stoke up the fire and begin working on some needlework projects for the Eudunda Show this year. It may seem a long time until November but lets get working while it is cosy inside.

2021 is the International year of Fruit and Vegetable
2021 is the International year of Fruit and Vegetable, and the needlework section of the show book features several classes that take up this theme. Make a pair of pot holders or a door stop that use this theme. Maybe now it the time to clean out the cupboard in the spare room and look for a collection of old and interesting articles that feature fruit and vegetables.
Over these cold months you have time to refresh your knitting or crocheting skills, or even learn them from new. There is nothing easier to make than a scarf or a hat or even a knee rug. Coat hangers and cushions, wall hangings and windcheaters, there is just so much variety to choose from. While you have the time google how to do smocking and revive an old skill by making a smocked garment.
For the children they can decorate a pom pom or two, or do a long stitch or cross stitch. Those not so keen on using their hands might be able to borrow the sewing machine and make an article with that.
Stay warm and start stitching because before we know it the cold weather will be gone and the show will be knocking on our door.
