Night bowls had a good turn up of bowlers including new players welcomed into our club. Pam Dutschke displayed quality bowling all night. Rhonda Horne did an awesome job of selling bats for the chocolates, and Carolyn Doering as announcer extraordinaire. Pat Milham won the raffle with a meal voucher, and Cody Reese the bottle of wine.

The ladies played Nuriootpa under the roof at Kapunda due to the inclement weather. Eudunda won 71-49 with two teams up and one down. Judy Milde’s team won 35-8 against Denise Baker, Joy Hams up 23-18 against Pauline Eichner, and Ruth Scoot 13-23 to Natalie Fyfe.

The Thursday afternoon Division 1 magnificent men won 62-49 against Lyndoch on our home turf. Preston Eva had a magnificent win against Bob Howell 23-13, likewise Murray Sauer was victorious over Harry Sykes 17-11, and Geoff Schmidt a tight finish 22-25 against Wayne Williams.

Thursday afternoon Division 2 men winners too with a 52-50 result against Kapunda White. ‘Tootin Scootin’ had an excellent win 26-17 against Peter Earl, while Roy Fiegert was just squeezed out of success 15-17 by Ron Rogers, and Ron Hams likewise 11-16 against Tony Robinson.

Division 1 played Nuriootpa at Nuriootpa and were outclassed 64-130. Tait Rogers was the only skipper in a tight match, finishing 21-24 to Brenton Brown. Andrew ‘Frank’ Pfitzner, Bill Mader and Chris Jones were down to Steve Heintze, Aaron Jones and Jim Barr.

Division 2A played Kapunda on our home turf and lost 69-81. ‘Scooty’ was down to John Dermody 20-33, Gordon ‘Kiwi’ Te.Au had a close encounter with Jack Trotta 26-29, and the shining light was Ron Hams 23-19 against Trevor Leslie. ‘Kiwi’ was run off his feet on his first umpiring day since becoming an umpire, having seven call-outs. He’ll have to start charging for his services!

Division 3 played Kapunda at Eudunda and won 64-57. Roy Fiegert had a top day winning 29-20 over S. Collins, Marg Nietschke likewise had a brilliant day 22-11 over Bernie O’Reilly, while Jeff Willoughby was covered with his loss to Donna Wood.

The Team of the Week is Judy Milde, Doreen Twartz, Rhonda Horne and Joy Fiegert.

A very good crowd enjoyed a steak sandwich tea with thanks to Des Twartz for cooking the barbeque.

Names need to be on the sheets for the men’s club championships by this weekend ready for the draw. Ladies club singles are beginning this Wednesday ( today).

Caddyshack will be in attendance at our Ladies Tournament this Friday for all your bowls requirements. At our Tournament this Friday there will be a quilt on display made by Mary Laucke, who is a friend of the late Deadra Leditschke. The quilt is kindly donated to the Bowling Club to be raffled and drawn at the Christmas Dinner. Tickets will be sold over the coming weeks.
