Robertstown Appeal To Artists – Expression Of Interest For Stobie Pole Art
EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
The Robertstown & District Community Management Inc is looking to beautify the main street of Robertstown (Commercial Street) on both sides of the road by decorating the stobie poles with artwork. There are 17 poles to decorate. We prefer that the artwork will be painted directly onto the stobie poles for this project and depict local flora, fauna, indigenous presence in the region, local farming practices or historical businesses in Robertstown. Each artwork can extend 2.0 metres from ground level on the poles, but cannot be higher.
We are seeking expressions of interest from budding local artists to submit a couple of designs and a CV, so that we can get a variety of input into the project. Our body is willing to supply the paint or reimburse artists. If you are willing to participate, please advise if you would need any overnight accommodation, to be able to paint on site.
Final acceptance of designs will be made by the Community Management Committee.
