Local Volunteers Speak About Volunteering During National Volunteer Week
National Volunteer Week is the annual celebration to acknowledge the generous contribution of our nation’s volunteers. This year it was held between 15th to 21st May 2023.
The Eudunda Community, Business and Tourism Committee (ECBAT), itself made up of volunteers and many of their sub-committees, including the Eudunda Family Heritage Gallery, Eudunda Hall & Catering, Eudunda Christmas Street Party, Eudunda Op Shop Volunteers, Eudunda Garden’s Volunteers, Eudunda Caravan Park Volunteers and other special project sub-committees who are all volunteers celebrated their community work.
During that week an ECBAT sub-committee dealing with improving tourism for the area met with Regional Council of Goyder staff and they asked if several of our members would give video interviews about their volunteer efforts. Read that article here on the ECBAT website.
Two of our ECBAT members volunteered to speak. thanks to ECBAT Chairperson Bob Dabrowski and ECBAT Volunteer Mel Zerner. (note that both volunteer for multiple organizations).
