Levi Creek Nature Reserves Get New Signage
Levi Creek Nature reserves community group have erected some replacement signage at the Dutton East location.
This is a project involving local landholders and supporters who highly value these 2 areas of about 40 ha of remnant open mallee woodland, native grassland and creekline with very diverse plants. Major home for many bird species as well as many insects, reptiles and other animals.
The area had previously been abused by people who have not had the respect for this natural area , and caused a shameful amount of damage. The group working to recover the area are doing a great job. That can only be achieved if vehicles stay out of the area, so when the original signs ‘went missing’ they have had to replace them in an effort to support their work.
THE GROUP WELCOME NEW MEMBERS TO COME HELP AND ENJOY.
