Eudunda Golf Club ‘JAK’ Success For 2023 With Another Day With Our Dads
Many of Eudunda’s Sons and Daughters came back to enjoy the day playing golf and catching up with friends.
This year the Bell family came to play golf at the JAK and to spread their Nana’s ashes at their Dad’s memorial tree. Apparently Nana was a great golfer, 92 at Kooyonga, she had 3 ‘hole in ones’, and was also the first Woman to get a ‘hole in one’. She was also a State Women’s Champion in the 1940’s. It was a moving time for all with a fitting spot to rest as she loved golf so much. The family also spent time driving out to several locations to visit where their family lived at various times.
Yes there was lots of golf had too. In this photo we see Jordan’s shot which quickly became the ‘Longest Drive on the 5th’ for the event, moving the marker even further that where it stood for most of the day, shot by Tim Knight.
Proud moment for the Knight family as Tim and Bill Knight share the winning spoils in the form of their fathers Shields, Best off the Stick and Handicap at the JAK Golf 2023.
As Tim Knight told the gathering,
“Dad was at the Eudunda Golf Club sharing the winning moment.”
Bistro Cheney spoke,
“Thank you Ian Knight for your wonderful support and backing of the event through his business ‘Sports Centre’. Bistro presented a beautiful piece of artwork by him to Ian for his 69th Birthday.
Many awards were given out during the night and everyone had a great night. Many thanks also to the ladies who looked after the teams with some very delicious food.
