Eudunda Bowls News 1st March 2025
Last Tuesday, the Night Bowlers enjoyed perfect weather for their games. The winners of the night were Pam Dutschke, Mike Rees and Judy Milde, and runners-up Katrina Turner, Kip Laucke and Bob Leditschke. Bowlers are encouraged to come to the weekly Night Bowls, and especially to support the Red Cross Night on Tuesday March 11th at 7pm for 7.30pm start. The Red Cross ladies run a raffle and provide a delicious supper after the game.

The finals have begun and on Saturday Eudunda’s Division 3 played Angaston Blue at Eudunda in the first semi-final. The atmosphere had a Grand Final feel and the match was tight from start to finish. After the last bowl of the day, Eudunda came out winners by one shot 57-56! Doreen Twartz performed well John Standish in a great competition, with Eudunda leader Joy Fiegert showing her skill with her old bowls, however Doreen and her team went down in the last three ends finishing 12-18; Ron Hams had an ordinary patch mid-game, but rallied against Mark Blenkiron finishing 19-21; and Pam Dutschke and her dream team carried the side with a strong finish from her players Bob Leditschke and Steve Congdon playing very well, and her third Ron Milde bowling impeccably in the last three ends to win 26-17. There was much celebration in the clubhouse after the game, as Division 3 contemplate what may be at the Grand Final in two weeks on March 15th at Kapunda.
The Team of the Week was Pam Dutschke, Ron Milde, Steve Congdon and Bob Leditschke.
The Presentation Night is on Friday 21st March at 6pm for 6.30pm start. Put your names on the sheet as soon as possible.
