Phone and Internet Community Meeting at Eudunda – 3rd March 2025

Phone & Internet not meeting your expectations?
Tony Piccolo MP, Labor Duty Member for Frome sent residents of the area a letter explaining what he discovered from an earlier local consultation and further feedback. Here is his invitation – hope you can make it.
Phone and Internet Community Meeting
“I trust this letter finds you well.
“You may be aware that late last year my office sent out a Phone and Internet Survey in response to a growing number of concerns raised about the lack of mobile phone service and internet connection in Eudunda, Point Pass, Robertstown and other surrounding localities.
Since then, my office has received over 50 responses from across the area reporting issues with phone service and or internet connection.
“It has become apparent that there is a disconnect between the services that the companies say are available and what people are experiencing on the ground.”
Given this, I have recently met with representatives of Telstra, TPG, Optus and the NBN and have invited them to Eudunda to address the issue. I have asked them to participate in two events which will be held in Eudunda (details provided below):”
Tech Assistance Clinic
4:00pm – 6:00pm
on 3 March 2025
at Eudunda Hall
25 Bruce Street, EUDUNDA SA 5374
Community Meeting
7:00pm – 8:30pm
on 3 March 2025
at Eudunda Hall
25 Bruce Street, EUDUNDA SA 5474
“The first event will be a clinic where people can bring their handset to receive any technical assistance, they might need. For example – checking that the phone is set up to receive the best possible signal.
“The second part will be a community meeting where the service providers can hear directly from members of the community about what they are experiencing.”
Tony had also asked people to fill in a survey and that was due today (28 February 2025). His office would still be happy to take feedback right up to Midday Monday 3rd March). If you don’t have access to that survey, they would be happy to just have something in writing.
Tony explains how you can return the survey,
“There are multiple ways you can return the survey to my office. I have provided a reply-paid envelope which can be used to return the survey for free via post. Alternatively, the survey can also be returned by taking a photo and texting it to 0456 213 604 or via email by scanning and sending it to light@parliament.sa.gov.au.
“Participation in the community meeting is an important next step towards ensuring this community is a priority to receive Government funding if any infrastructure upgrades are required.
“If you have any questions or queries between now and then please do not hesitate to contact my office on 8522 2878 or via email at Isaac.Solomon@parliament.sa.gov.au.”
“I look forward to seeing you at the meeting.
With Kindest Regards
