Young Family Lucky To Escape House Fire In Eudunda
Disaster struck at Eudunda in the middle of the night on the 6th August 2021, when this house on Ward Street Eudunda caught fire. Thankfully the occupants, a young family were able to escape this blaze which totally destroyed the house and threatened neighbouring properties including the Eudunda Hospital, across the road.
According to the CFS report cold and windy conditions and a downed power line hampered the 30 CFS firefighters who attended the blaze, and they were also supported by SA Police and the SA Ambulance Services.
There has since been reports that the family have had lots of support and donations from the community and the Eudunda Community Op Shop have also rallied to support the family, who had lost everything in the blaze. Once again we do see that in times of trouble we have a wonderful community and community spirit.
