Turtle and Des win Eudunda Club Championship Pairs for 2025
Terry ‘Turtle’ Curtis and Des Schiller had a busy weekend playing Club Championship Pairs. On Saturday they played the semi-final against Kym ’Chucka’ Schutz and Andrew Swain in a very tight match which saw Turtle and Des get over the line by just three shots. On Sunday they played the grand final of the pairs against Jake Pfitzner and Chris ‘CJ’ Jones in front of an impressive contingent of people in the gallery. Turtle and Des combined well and had a head start on Jake and CJ, and the display of good bowling eventually saw Turtle and Des win the championship, with Jake and CJ as runners-up.

Des Schiller has returned to the club that he first began to play bowls, and is no stranger to competing in the Men’s Club Championship Pairs competition. Des played Pairs with GG Schutz for thirteen years, and together they won the Club Pairs a couple of times, and were runners-up a few times.
