Robertstown Bowling Club Benefit From Grants For Major Upgrade Of Facilities
The club house facilities at Robertstown Bowling Club have had a major upgrade over the last two years.
First, the kitchen was totally replaced after the white ants decided to enjoy our kind hospitality and made a meal of the old fixtures.
The total cost of kitchen replacement was $19000, and this was generously funded via the following grant funding:
• Regional Council of Goyder Ward Funding 2021 $12000
• AGL Hallett Wind Farm Community Fund $7000
Next, the bar facilities were subject to health compliance issues after 60 years of use, and this was replaced at a cost of $4000 funded by the Regional Council of Goyder Ward Community Funding for 2022.
Finally, the kitchen/bar area was upgraded with new floor coverings at a cost of $2000 funded from a grant from the AGL Hallett Wind Farm in 2023.
A big THANK YOU’ to the Regional Council of Goyder and the AGL Hallett Wind Farm Community Fund for the generous grants received over the last 2 years. This have enabled the club to provide a high standard of hospitality to its members, visitors, and the wider Robertstown community.
The Secretary, Polly Mansell was assisted by Mel Zerner, previous Eudunda resident, in applying for grants to these and other organisations.
A big THANK YOU’ also to the Club President, Greg Kotz and other committee members and volunteers for removing the old kitchen and bar facilities and assisting tradespeople to install the new kitchen, bar and floor coverings.
The Club is proud of its new facilities and is pleased to CELEBRATE its achievements and thank its sponsors, the Regional Council of Goyder and AGL Hallett Wind Farm Community Fund sometime soon in 2024.”
