Eudunda Bowls News 13th March
The Night bowls was cancelled due to rain. The first night of finals involving all teams will be played this week (tonight – 13th Mar).
Division 1 played Angaston on our home turf finishing 74-124. The day began with cold, wintry conditions and ended in pleasant autumnal weather. Tait Rogers had a replay of last round’s match with Jono Voigt; this time Tait down by one shot in a cliff-hanger 23-24. Frank Pfitzner had a great battle with David Jaunay 17-26, Bill Mader had luck against him 15-32 to Matt Short, and Chris Jones’ team wished it kept raining all afternoon, and particularly after three or four costly ends, went down 19-42 to the impeccable Liam Buckley.
Division 2A had a bye.
Division 3 played Tanunda at Tanunda and lost 44-72, Eudunda being denied a chance in the finals. Marg Nietschke had a tight match with Neil Slater 15-18, Roy Fiegert was competitive against Judy Thompson 17-22, and Pat Obst was down to Brian Holkas.
The Team of the Week was Tait, Mally, Karl and Jake.
Club members enjoyed the fish and chips and pizza tea as the windup of the season.
Presentation Night is Saturday 27th March at 6.30 for 7pm. Come and support your club, collect your trophies and bring a raffle prize. See you there.
