It was a week of birthdays when three Eudunda bowlers had birthdays last Friday, Saturday and Sunday – Ron Hams, Greg Prior and Ted Schiller (70) respectively.

The Ladies continued to be top of the table after their good win last Thursday against Freeling 72-35. Joy Hams continued her good form winning 24-10 against Heather Hancock, likewise Doreen Twartz won 29-15 against Leanne Mullins and Ruth Scoot came from behind to win 19-10 against Denise Baker.

Thursday Division 1 men played Nuriootpa at home with a 55-79 result. Mally Schutz had an inspiring finish scoring a six on the last end to win 24-23 against Bob Randall, Greg Prior had a battle of the giants against Stuart Forbes 20-22, and Greg Post was compromised by Chapman 11-34.

Division 2 men played Lyndoch at Lyndoch conceding in the away game 58-74. Murray Sauer had a great win 33-19 against Bruce Koch, while both Jeff Willoughby and Ron Milde went down to C. Martin and Roger Vanstone respectively.

Another windy day greeted the bowlers on Saturday. Division 1 at Angaston was a disaster for Eudunda (64-142) where the Angaston bowlers tackled the conditions with ease. Tait Rogers 15 to Ian Elsworthy 45; Chris Jones 12 to Matthew Short 41; Bill Mader 19 to Justin Morris 31; and Aaron Jones18 to Jonno Voigt 25.

Division 3 was the shining light for Eudunda last Saturday winning 70-45 against Mount Pleasant. Gordon ( Kiwi) Teau and his team excelled themselves against Dot Holt with a 33-9 win; birthday boy Ted Schiller won 17-16 against Graeme Sloan, and Ron Milde had a draw with Kevin McGee 20-20.

Division 4 received a forfeit from Mount Pleasant.

The Team of the Week was Gordon ‘Kiwi’ Teau, Doreen Twartz, Rhonda Horne and GG Schutz.
