By contrast from last week, the Night Bowlers had a cold and windy night on Tuesday which tested the bowling skills. The winners were Rob Cavanagh, Pam Dutschke and Jane Felby against Katrina Turner, Ron Milde and Ted Schiller. The other rink of bowlers had a draw -those being Murray Sauer, Herman Kloss and George Mitev having a friendly game with Wendy Schmidt, Trevor Prior and Liz Mosey. The Red Cross Night will be on Wednesday 20th March at 7.30pm. Keep the date free to come along and support the Red Cross and enjoy their beautiful supper.

On Thursday the ladies travelled to Lyndoch to play on their beautiful green. Lyndoch proved the stronger side with Eudunda ‘s result 44-69. Ruth Scoot was unable to hold back Sue Drummond 11-28, Joy Hams had a great start 8-0, then Jean Elsworth’s team sprung into action catching up 11 all, and even though Joy’s team scored a ‘five’ late in the match, they could not stop the hosts, finishing 16-22; and Doreen Twartz had a titan struggle against Dianne Howse where some great bowling was displayed by both skippers. Doreen’s highlight during the game was drawing the shot after being five down in the head, however later the result being a narrow defeat 17-19.

The Eudunda Mid-Week Division 1 played at Angaston and won against the ‘unbeatable’ Angaston 76-72. Aaron Jones had an impressive win against Mark Schutz 35-12, which was enough to carry his team mates’ encounters Preston Eva/Brian Teakle 12-27 and Ian ‘Lumpy’ Griffiths/ David Jaunay 29/33.

Division 2 played Tanunda White at Eudunda and won overall by 10 shots, 61-51. Murray Sauer had a battle with David Pech 15-21, however Ron Milde won 27-16 against Jim Mullan and Roy Fiegert won 19-14 against Barry Friebel.

Saturday’s Division 1 played Tanunda at Eudunda and were victorious 102-85. Aaron Jones had a star-studded week with yet another massive win, this time over Neil Stewart 36-15. Kym ‘Chucka’ Schutz and his team also contributed to the successful day by bowling superbly against Sue Yates 29-11. Tait Rogers faced his old arch rival Tim Liersch 25-26, and Bill Mader was no match for the formidable Keith Ward 12-33.

Division 3 played Kapunda under the roof and had a tough day 51-85, which tipped Eudunda out of the four to fifth position on the ladder. Gordon ‘Kiwi’ Teau was outclassed by Ron Hier 18-34, Murray Sauer likewise against Ian Dawson 15-26, and Ruth Scoot, even with some brilliant passages of play, could not conquer the formidable Bob Johnson 18-25.

Division 4 also played under the roof against Kapunda Red with a result 27-44, however Eudunda’s Division 4 still remain on the top of the ladder in Association Pennants. Pam Dutschke encountered tough opposition in Peter Maitland going down 12-21, and likewise Roy Fiegert against Steve Ahwan 15-23.

The Team of the Week was Aaron Jones, Greg Prior and Felix Schiller with their magnificent 23-shot win on Thursday.
