Eudunda Bowling Club – Friday Social Bowls 9th August 2024
Beautiful winter sun greeted eighteen bowlers last Friday. Interstate visitors Ralph and Pauleen Leditschke from Melbourne came to watch all the action on the green and nearly got a game! Ralph and Pauleen shared conversation with fellow Melbournite Gabrielle Kaoustos.

The card draw winners were Ted Bowden (Leader), Joy Fiegert (Third) and Hermann Kloss (Skip). The winners of the day were John Greenwood, Marg Nietschke and Rhonda Horne, and runners up Mally Schutz, Murray Sauer and Helen Vater.

The raffle winners were Helen Vater (mettwurst), Bob Leditschke (wine), Steve Congdon (cheese),Mally Schutz (cake), Doreen Twartz (chook), Joy Fiegert (chocolate), Preston Eva (biscuits), Hermann Kloss (chocolate), John Greenwood (glass) and Rhonda Horne (CD).
Mitev Family Day tournament
The Mitev Family Day tournament is on Sunday 25th August at 10 for 10.30am start. This year the tournament is a charity event, sponsored by the Mitev family. The charity that the club is supporting is Parkinson’s SA, and they will be sending information/ribbons for bowlers to find out more about this debilitating disease. George Mitev who is the patriarch of the family has parkinson’s, and this financial support is for George and other bowlers in the hope of finding new treatments. George lives for his bowls and using a bowling arm still is mean on the green!
Come for a great fun day out bowling at Eudunda as well as supporting a worthwhile cause.
