On Thursday, the ladies played Freeling at Freeling on a very slow green (after rain the night before) and lost 44-62. The only shining light was Doreen Twartz with her win against Leanne Mullins 21-13; Ruth Scoot had a tight encounter against Vicki Ramsay 15-16, while Joy Hams was compromised by the slow green 8-33 against Daniela Madalinski.

Mid-week Division 1 played Nuriootpa at Nuriootpa and were defeated 44-69. Chris Jones was the only shining light with his win 19-14 over N. Roocke, Andrew Swain was challenged by Greg Chapman 14-24, and Aaron Jones lost to Rob Grope 11-31.

Mid-week Division 2 had a satisfying win against Nuriootpa Gold at home 63-59. Preston Eva was down to Ian Kowald 15-20, Ron Hams also down by five shots to Bruce Kernick 20-25, and the shining light who got his side over the line was Ted Schiller with a fantastic win 28-14 against Noel Hein.

On Saturday, Eudunda had a reality check when Division 1 came up against a determined Kapunda under the roof, losing 65-103. Terry ‘Turtle’ Curtis was outdone by Marty Dew 17-23, Aaron Jones narrowly missed victory 18-22 to Brian Grant, Andrew Swain lost to the formidable Katrina Green 16-23, and Tait Rogers had a tough day against Adrian Green 14-35.

Division 2 also had a devastating day going down 41-100 against Tanunda at Tanunda. Michael Upton scored 17 against Dave Pech 34, Ted Schiller 14 to Sharon Burgemeister 35, and Rob Cavanagh 10 to Wayne Schutz 31.

However, Division 3 had a win against Nuriootpa on our home turf 63-58. Pam Dutschke had a handy lead early and managed to still be in front against Roger Leske at the end 19-18, Doreen Twartz and her team started slowly being down 2-10 early, was drawn at smoko, then went onto win 24-15 against Keith Semmler. Ron Hams had a battle against Noel Hein and came second 20-25.

The Team of the Week was Ted Schiller, Hermann Kloss and Bob Leditschke with a great win on Thursday by 14 shots.

Eudunda Bowling Club is entering a float in the Eudunda Christmas Street Party Parade this Friday night 6th December. All participants are asked to be in Barwell Street by 5.30pm ready to start the parade.

Next skills practise is on Wednesday 11th December at 4pm.

There will be a club photo by professional photographer from ‘The Leader’ on Saturday 21st December at 11am. All members are requested to be there in uniform 10 minutes before 11am ready for this photo shoot which will be the centrepiece of the Centenary Feature.

Eudunda Bowling Club Christmas Dinner is Saturday 21st December at 6.30pm for 7pm. Please put your names on the sheet as soon as possible.
