Millions of Australians have been caught up in Data Breaches with recent reports about the Optus and Medibank data breaches bringing large and public examples to the fore.
The fore mentioned businesses are not alone. A report in the Australian Financial Review paints a much more sobering and real picture,
“fresh data from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner covering the first half of 2022 revealed it had been alerted to 396 breaches involving companies with revenue of more than $3 million.”
