In very hot conditions on Sunday, the Association Championship Pairs and Triples was played at Tanunda for the men and Kapunda for the ladies. Eudunda’s Pairs champions competed extremely well winning their sections and earning the honour of playing off in the finals.
The men’s Pairs Des Schiller and Terry ‘Turtle’ Curtis played a formidable Tanunda Pair being runners-up in the Association Pairs. The ladies Pairs Jane Felby and Ruth Scoot likewise played a formidable Pair in Nuriootpa’s Kate Blacksell and Maureen Brown, being runners-up in the Association Pairs.
